The Training, Research and Development division focused on research activities throughout the semester. The objective was to build a culture of research at NDIM. Faculty was awarded at the annual festival Manthan to encourage and motivate research during this semester. Few of the faculty members are writing good quality research papers which are in progress towards publication in Scopus indexed journals. To incentivize faculty undertaking to pursue up skilling programs and refresher courses, a monetary award was also announced by Training, Research and Development Division.
NDIM ,in its effort to enhance professional competence of faculty, organized 7 days FDP on "Writing Quality Research Papers in the field of Social Sciences using SPSS and AMOS" from 2 July to 7 July, 2019 at the campus. The FDP enriched the faculty in key domains of research, research design, hypotheses formulation, measurement scales, sampling design, reliability and validity. Expert of research domain Dr Pushpendra Kumar (Delhi University) marked his presence in the inaugural session of FDP. The Faculty Development Programme is a step to enrich faculty vitality.
NDIM organized a conference on “Leadership Strategies in the Era of Industry 4.0” on 7th September 2019 at the campus. 'HR Association India' was Industry Partner and 'Dainik Bhaskar' was Media partner for the event. The event was inaugurated by Dr. Naresh Vats(GGSIPU), Dr. Krishna Nath Pandey (Dean, Lingayas University), Mr Yatendra Dwivedi (Former General Manager Power Grid). The objective of the conference was to offer forum for corporate and academia to come together and share the experience and knowledge pertaining to global concerns with rapid change in leadership approach due to change in technology and process.
National Seminar: ‘Contemporary Issues in World Economics’ by Prof Ian Wooton (28.02.2020)

Profile; Ian Wooton is Professor of Economics at the University of Strathclyde in Glasgow. He studied at the University of St Andrews and Columbia University, and previously held posts at the University of Western Ontario and the University of Glasgow, as well as visiting professorships and research fellowships at universities in Europe and Australia.
Prof Ian Wooton, at NDIM campus addressed students on ‘Contemporary Issues in World Economics’. Prof talked about Brexit and its implications, the free trade regime, the moving out of UK from EU, its implications and international trade options beyond that during the course of his talk. Students listened to him mesmerized with his style and knowledge on World Economics.
Faculty Development Program: ‘The Psychology of Communication’ (06.01.2020-11.01.2020)

Objective of FDP: Getting your message across in a way that is clear and coherent is a critical skill in anyone’s professional and personal life. This workshop identified the necessary ingredients of any conversation. Learn to be a better communicator by exploring the communication process and how different communication styles affect anyone’s personal style.
As a part of the program NDIM also signed a letter of association signed by Dr Svetlana on behalf of the University for Joint Collaborative Research, academic enrichment and students-faculty exchange programs in near future mutually benefitting both
Management Development Program on “The Power of Teamwork” (24.01.2020 -30.01.2020)

NDIM faculty Dr Preeti Singh and Ms Sadhna Singh conducted 5 days Management Development Programme on “The Power of Teamwork” at mFILTERIT, an IT firm located at Gurgaon, for the benefit of its employees. 20 employees joined the MDP. Employees were trained using various management games, icebreaking activities and motivational videos.
Administrative Training Programme
Various training Programme are organized by the college for the development of Teaching and the Non-teaching staff. ‘Self Defense Programme’ was organized by NDIM on 19th November 2019 in association with kind beings and sankalp NGO. Many trainers were invited to guide all the students and teachers regarding self defense technique. The Training program on googledocs and google sheet was organised for teaching and non-teaching staff from 30th March – 4th April 2020. Training on zoom and google calendar was given by Dr Rakhi and Dr Niraj Saxena for Teaching and Non-Teaching staff.
Computer Training Program for Library Staff was conducted from 16 – 21 December, 2019 to familiarize library staff with the latest tools and technologies which can be used in the study, research, and information retrieval. Resource Person for training program was Dr Rakhi Chawla and Mr Sunder Lal.
