Research activities are integral to teaching at NDIM. It has a significant focus on research activities and encourages all its faculty and students to involve in research activities of high standards

  • The college has a dedicated Training, Research and Development Cell to deal with all research projects funded by various funding agencies and to facilitate other research and development activities like conferences, collaborations and establishing networking with other institutes in India and outside India.
  • NDIM encourages its faculty to apply for research projects from international, national funding agencies apart from local bodies, industries and other funding sources for research projects.
  • In accordance with the UGC norms, a high-quality standard of research is one of the main criteria for the recruitment and promotion of faculty.
  • Teachers without PhD have been encouraged to pursue and complete their PhD by providing study leave with salary benefits.
  • College has encouraged faculty to establish network with other institutions within India as well as abroad and sign MoUs.
  • Workshops in research methodology were organized in the previous year where ethics in research is an integral part of the workshop.
  • Faculty is encouraged through various monetary and non monetary incentives to present research at conferences both in India and abroad from time to time.
  • Publishing of books, editing and related activities are appropriately awarded.
  • Joint publications of faculty members with other academicians and students have been encouraged last year.
  • The Institute has provided support and encouraged organizing of a conference every year.
  • Access to quality data is essential for research. The Institute has set up systems to provide faculty and researchers access to the data needed for research through a well-equipped digital library.
  • Younger faculty members have been guided in the previous year for research by experienced ones and targets have been set for all to pursue research.
  • A consultancy project and a funded research project have also been undertaken since last year.
