Meraki - The Dance Society

Meraki, NDIM's Dance Society, is actively involved in dance events both at NDIM and at various campuses within GGSIPU and DU. Meraki's group dance performances are well-known throughout the Delhi dance circuit.

Last year, Meraki participated in dance events at North Campus, in the GGSIPU Anugoonj Prelims, Ambedkar University, NSIT, BPIT, Rohini, and Shaheed Bhagat Singh.

Ruhaniyat - The Music Society

NDIM's Music Society, Ruhaniyat, was instrumental in conducting Tarana, NDIM's flagship inter-school, inter-college music competition, in 2018, where over 300 participants created beautiful melodies and sang their hearts out.

In 2018, the Ruhaniyat team cleared the Prelims round of classical singing at Rendezvous'18, IIT Delhi's national level fest, and reached the semi-finals of Anugoonj'18, the annual fest of GGSIPU, in solo and group singing.

The Ruhaniyat team also performed at Delhi University Colleges like ANDC, Ramanujan, Asian School of Business, SGBIT, as well as at Symbiosis, Noida, and GIBS.

Tabiir - The Theatre Society

This cohort of theatre and dramatics aficionados have their own annual stage play production, Shoonya Batta Sannata, which they performed at People's Place Art. They were the Zone Winners in the Anugoonj prelims, and made NDIM proud with their performance at Chitkara University, Chandigarh. They performed at NDIM's Orientation, 2018, as well as at Rendezvous'18, the IIT Delhi Fest. Their street play performances at Prayas have been widely applauded.

Glitterati - The Fashion Society

NDIM's Fashion Society, Glitterati, works with the aim of unleashing the fashion, glamour, and style potential of its deserving students. Over the years its members have included Swati Singh Rajput (Starlife Miss India 2018), Arjun Singh (Mr. Delhi 2018, Fitness and Bodybuilding), Naman Virmani (1st Runner Up, Mr. India), Deepshikha Paul (Finalist, Fashion Show, IIT Delhi Rendezvous 2018). It has had a long relationship with Lakmé, and has been associated with well-known fashion names like Shahnaz Hussain,  Blossom Kochhar, and Dr. Shikha Sharma.

Sandarbh - The Literary Society

The crowning jewel of NDIM's Literary Society in the year 2018-19 was the All India Political Parties Meet conducted in February, which brought together over 50 participants in a spirited discussion. Sandarbh members won the First Prize in Debate at GGSIPU's Anugoonj 2019, the Second Prize in the Inter-college Business Quiz as well as the JAM (Just A Minute) Session at the Periyar Management and Computer College. Sandarbh also successfully hosted Hindi Diwas at the NDIM campus, along with an inter-college Presentation Competition. Sandarbh members invariably become the anchors at various college events.

Circle - The CSR Society

NDIM's CSR Society received a Certificate of Appreciation for its excellent work under the Swachhta Ki Saksharta Programme by TobaccGo. Circle also collaborated with Aarohan, an NGO for the education of the underprivileged, on World Literacy Day, 2018.

The society has actively conducted workshops on Women's Safety, Thalassaemia, and various other socially relevant topics. Their massive collection drive for the Kerala Floods, in association with with Youth United for Poor, on behalf of AIIMS, was a massive success.

Their collaboration with Prayas, their blood donation camps in collaboration with Rotary Blood Bank, and their massive efforts towards NDIM's Shikshit Bharat Abhiyan and the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan have been widely appreciated on the Delhi CSR circuit.

Rotaract Club of NDIM

Representing District 3011, Rotaract NDIM held an Orientation on 25th August, 2018, with the Installation Ceremony, Riwayat, held in February 2019.

Since its inception, Rotaract NDIM has participated actively in Rota Fest 2018 at DAV Public School, Ashok Vihar, the Swachhta Ki Saksharta campaign by TobaccGo, organized competitions like poster making, diya decoration and card marking, and helped organize the Australian Education Exhibition in collaboration with the Rotaract Club of Delhi Janak.

They also organized a 10-day long self-defence workshop for young adults, entitled 'Nidar' in collaboration with Rotaract Club of Sri Aurobindo College.

Sportacus - The Sports Society

NDIM's Sports Society participated and won laurels at the Reliance Football Tournament (football), the Asian Institute Sports Meet and the NIEC Sports Meet (kabaddi), Sparda, Symbiosis, various Jasola Sports Complex Open Tournaments (basketball), the Open Cricket Tournament (Cricket), and various sports at the GGSIPU Main Campus Sports Festival.

Individual Achievers:

  1. Ashish Singh (2nd year) - Won IBFF Mr. India Bodybuilding and Men's Physique Junior in Bodybuilding
  2. Vikram Gupta (1st year) - Represented India at international level in Ireland and is an emerging state player in Badmintor
  3. Navjot Bisht (2nd year) and Shashank (2nd year) - Grabbed 2nd position and 3rd positions in Bodybuilding  competition organized by 7 Health Point Gym
  4. Aditya Umang (2nd year) - Represented India on USA tour for Table Tennis at Under-19 level, and is a State Player
  5. Aditya (1st year) - Played Nationals in Lawn Tennis, active player at the National Sports Club of India

Kalakriti - The Art & Craft Society

NDIM's Art & Craft Society adds colour to every NDIM event, from Orientation to Freshers to Farewell, and to all major events and festivals like Republic Day and the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan. They were instrumental in organizing a Best out of Waste competition in 2018, and organized 7 successful events at Manthan 2019, with extensive participation from other colleges.
